The American Purebred Association exists to allow for the Registration of purebred dogs. To avoid the pitfalls that other organizations have experienced, the American Purebred Association requires photographic proof of a purebred's charateristics. Anyone desiring to register their purebred must submit a short application, two photos of their animal (a front and side view) along with our registration fee of just $10 (non-refundable). Dogs of any age qualify, but puppies must be at least eight weeks old (and photos must be taken at 8 weeks or later) to be registered.
Our staff will review the application and study the photos of your dog. We are looking for physical characteristics of the breed submitted. If they are present, we will issue you a Purebred Registration Certificate stating that the American Purebred Association has decided that your dog has met the physical qualifications of what a purebred of the breed submitted should be.
If your dog fails to meet what we consider to be the physical qualifications of what a purebred should look like, we will send you a registration rejection letter. Your fee cannot be refunded. I learned How To Make A Good Living Breeding Dogs With No Prior Experience! You Can Do It Too!

Unfortunately, as most of you know the Automotive and manufacturing industries in North America are rapidly imploding in on themselves. Many people had to be laid off. I was one of them.
Living off of unemployment checks I had no idea what to do next. I slowly began selling off my car, furniture, etc. just to get by. In a couple of months all I had left that was really important to me was myself and my bulldog, Sheila.
One day while surfing the classifieds online at the local library I noticed that people were selling puppies. A lot of people. It hit me! Man, if so many people are selling puppies there must be a pretty decent market and profit out there, otherwise why would they all be doing it? So I quickly began searching around as I wondered what it would take and whether I was qualified to even consider such a thing as breeding dogs to sell puppies.

Parrot training handbook
"How To Quickly And Easily Teach Your Parrot The 'Up' Command!"
The "Up" command is the very first behavior you should teach your parrot. Whether you have a tame, loving, hand-fed baby that is just weaned or you have an older, untamed parrot, the process is still important. It's a question of good manners!
Of course, the process for teaching the behavior to a hand-fed, young bird is much, much easier and quicker than teaching an untamed bird. It is, however, nonetheless necessary.
When you work with a parrot that is untamed, you'll find it works best to use a spare perch or untreated wooden dowel which is rather long.
I like to work with the parrot outside its cage, but if that isn't possible, you can perform the process with the parrot inside the cage if you have a large door opening and can move the perch about easily. Be sure the selected perch is comfortably sized for your parrot species.
Place the perch just above the parrot's feet and just below its breast while saying "Up" clearly. There is no need to be loud or sharp, just say "up".
Move the perch slightly toward the bird so that it will naturally step onto the perch. Once the bird steps on the perch, reward it with loving sweet talk, telling it what a wonderful smart parrot it is. Repeat this process for about 10 minutes per session with two sessions per day if at all possible.
The #1 Element You MUST Know About When Teaching Your Bird This Trick - Or Else You'll Ruin The Training Session!
Consistency is the key!
It is important that you do not allow your parrot to refuse to perform the behavior after it has stepped up the first time for you. You want your parrot to understand that this is something it must do when requested. In return, you will provide love, attention, foods and playtime.
As your parrot becomes comfortable stepping onto the perch, you can slowly shorten the distance from your hand to the parrot. I usually find that with untamed parrots, shortening the perch more than once a week can stress them and actually create a loss of the trust you've built.
==> Don't rush the process! Take your time and be certain your parrot is comfortable with each training level.
Eventually, you will reach a point that the distance from your hand to the parrot on the perch is very small. Once your parrot is comfortable with your hand being that close to it, begin the final step - offer your hand or forearm (depending on the size of your parrot) instead of the perch.
How Long You'll Take In Teaching This Bird Trick!
It depends on you, your consistency and your parrot. If the parrot has been stressed or made afraid through abuse or trauma, it can take a long time.
If your parrot is simply unfamiliar with you and you just have to prove to it that you won't hurt it, the process can occur quite quickly.
If you parrot was hand-fed, you can count on the entire process taking a very short time - in fact, you'll probably start at the final step with the parrot stepping right onto your hand.
I recently brought a budgie home that was just weaning. He was not hand-fed but very young and trusting; he was trained to the "up" command within a week and consistently performs the behavior whenever requested.
Be sure to watch your parrot's body language for clues to the level of trust and level of comfort with the activities you are performing with it.
The parrot will generally communicate to you their comfort level using body language - in the future we'll study parrot body language, teaching you how to interpret your parrot's body language!

“It Was a Beautiful Sunny Day…”
But was still rather cold since winter was just ending. I was standing in my kitchen making some breakfast for my 3 year old daughter when I heard a knock at the door. It seemed rather odd since I wasn’t expecting anyone, so I assumed it would be a door to door salesman.
I walked to the door and opened it to see a man wearing dark sunglasses and dark clothing. I greeted him nicely and asked what I could help him with. He then calmly said “I want your money and your car and you won’t get hurt” while pointing what appeared to be a gun at me from inside his jacket.
I didn’t know what to do. My home is fitted with a top quality alarm system, but it’s not very useful when you’ve got a gun pointed at you. I was freaking out as any normal person would and agreed to do as he said. I turned around and the gun yielding man follow me into the house to get what he was after.
I nervously picked up the car keys and my wallet and gave them to him. As the man was about to leave, my pet pit bull Jasper walked into the house and I knew that this was my chance. I had the feeling that the man wouldn’t actually shoot me but he might well injure me with physical violence. I then use the code-word while looking at Jasper which means attack. I said “cockroach” and Jasper knew what to do. I got the sense that he knew something wasn’t right from the moment he walked in.
As soon as I said the word, the man looked at me a little confused and then realised that a very angry looking pit bull was racing towards him. The man dropped the gun to try and stop Jasper before he got bitten. This was a poor decision because Jasper bit his hand and I could actually hear bones breaking between the incredibly strong jaws of my pit bull. Jasper then went insane as the man fell to the floor, biting into his legs and arms until I had the man pinned to the floor. Jasper then stopped his attack and stood by and watched as I sat on the man who was now laying face down with his arms locked behind his back.
The police arrived within just 3 minutes and the man was taken to jail - hopefull for a long time.

Without such a highly trained pet I’m not sure what would have happened that day. I certainly would have lost a lot of money and who knows that this guy was on his way to do. Obviously he needed a car for something, maybe a bank robbery, maybe a shooting.
I can’t express how thankful I am that I have a pet like Jasper.

Someone had to help them and call me crazy, but I decided that someone was me.
And so my rescue mission began. Have you ever tried herding cats – especially little “wild cats”? If so, you know it takes some doing. But after a round up that would have made Annie Oakley proud, I finally managed to wrangle the little gang of banditos into my car - knowing all along I didn’t have a clue as to how to care for them.
But that had to change. I remember thinking “With all the cute, loveable cats and kittens ready for adoption, what chance do these skinny, malnourished, outlaw kittens have?”
To give these little bandits the best chance at a happy home I had to train them first. So I hit the books with feverish intensity soaking up everything I could find about cat training. After countless hours pouring over encyclopedias of information, after frustrating trial and error, I finally discovered the secrets of cat behavior.
And then… In less than 13 days, those 11 renegade kittens were transformed into well-behaved housecats.
But I didn’t stop there.
To this day, I’ve read and studied more than 100 books and articles about cat behavior, cat health, and cat care…interviewed dozens of vets, animal shelter and adoption center volunteers…and listened to stories of happy cat owners.
